Fixed background for phpbb template?

    • Hi there,

      I have a friend's neighbour I am doing a few website changes for (since his son passed away last month in a hit and run) who apparently has purchased Rockettheme in the past, as he has The Quantive Phpbb theme on his site. Now he's asked me to make a few changes (but I do not have access to the Phpbb section and he doesn't have any idea what his son's account information would even be, or if it was through the company he had been working for.

      The only question I have is this, He wants the forums background to remain fixed and the forums scroll, is this even at all possible, if so how would I go about doing this?

      Thanks!

    • It is indeed possible, I have done it with the Zephyr theme for phpbb3, it's simply adding the word 'fixed' to one of the css sheets. I'm not sure if it'd be the same sheet for the theme you are discussing, but for zephyr you look at the overlays.css file and look for where the background images are. Instead of

      .background-img-grunge #rt-page-background {background: url(images/backgrounds/img-grunge.jpg) 50% 0 no-repeat;}

      You should have

      .background-img-grunge #rt-page-background {background: url(images/backgrounds/img-grunge.jpg) 50% 0 no-repeat fixed;}

      Hope this helps.
