    • I am wondering if it would help my search engine ranking if my title tag would appear in the very first line in the source code. My competitor ranks number 1 and I rank 74 in the google results.

      When I search for hawaii wedding photography www.renaiphoto.com/ comes up first. Their source code starts with the title.

      My site www.vip-wedding-hawaii.com/ is on rank 74. My title tag is way further down in the source code. Is this something that matters?

      I am trying to figure out how I can make it to page one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    • It could be a small factor, but I'm pretty sure that's not the most important factor. Changing that one thing will not take you to the top of Google. Your competitors website could have been online for a longer time and have more incoming links that everyone else, that's really the most important factor beyond titles and keywords.

      Personally, I have several websites, all of them Joomla and Rocket Theme (some using this exact template) that have number 1 page ranks in a number of different areas. So I know it's possible using the RT template format, and I didn't change the order of the source code.
