I plan on redoing our site which includes JomSocial and I read on a couple of places that it is a slow component.
I was wandering if anyone has any kind of advice in regards to this? Which RT template should I choose any advice on optimizing the site for faster loading? Which components modules to avoid? Etc.

- I can't speak to any third party components, but you might want to take a look at the Tachyon template. All of our templates and Gantry have caching and compression options and plug-ins that help with the page load times. Hope that helps.
