    • or you can zip it back up as a .zip. We just use .tgz because it's better compression than zip plus it has some other features on the mac/linux side.

with a winzip I am able to archive only as *.zip

I need it tgz because of the template

How come for you is so easy
I have tried a lot but no result

      Thanks

    • Why does it need to be tgz?

      Joomla accepts .zip templates

Also what Billy said is right.

Open the file up in winzip, then drag the changed files into it.

    • Im doing a web with Mobius template

      initially it is *.tgz

I have unzipped that folder and archived to *.zip

When I try install as a template it doesn't accept

So I had to zip to tgz in order to finish

      is that clear>

      Thanks

    • .zip do work for template packaging. You must be archiving it wrong.
