Convert Regular Joomla to Gantry?

Is there anyway to convert a regular Joomla 1.5 template to use Gantry framework? I have a template that I really like and do not want to change anything on the appearance but would like to have gantry framework as well. Or is there anyone who already has expereince with this that might be able to do this for a fee?
I was thinking if nothing esle start it from ground up and just try to get it as close to me current template as possible? Please feel free to chime in here

The last I have heard there is not a guide or anything that helps you convert a regular template to Gantry. I know Andy has encouraged anyone who wants to do it, to do it, the community would appreciate it! haha
I know there are a lot of posts on freelance sites to have people bid on doing it, but nothing where someone has actually gotten it done.
