Solved transferred joomla site home button links back to old

I have just transferred my joomla 1.7 site from one domain to another. Everything appears to be working fine as I navigate through the links but as soon as I click on the home it reverts back to my old website. I would appreciate any suggestions

Thanks Prim. I had cleared the cache but is was a new domain/nameserver set up hence had not fully propagated
