Running into a problem while working in the backend of Joomla. Every once in a while our host is receiving over 400 requests per second which triggers the server to lockout our IP address.
Our setup:
• Reflex theme
• Joomla 1.5.23
• Multiple browsers, Firefox, Safari and Chrome
• Doesn't seem to matter which article or module we are working on
Is there anyway to check / track requests that the browsers are sending out? Anyone run into a problem like this before? Not sure where to start on something like this.
The other thing that we are noticing is that when the lockouts or sometimes slowdowns occur the very next IP that hits the web server is a google or yahoo bot. Here is google bot line and the preceding line:
