    • Running into a problem while working in the backend of Joomla. Every once in a while our host is receiving over 400 requests per second which triggers the server to lockout our IP address.

      Our setup:
      • Reflex theme
      • Joomla 1.5.23
      • Multiple browsers, Firefox, Safari and Chrome
      • Doesn't seem to matter which article or module we are working on

      Is there anyway to check / track requests that the browsers are sending out? Anyone run into a problem like this before? Not sure where to start on something like this.

    • Installed Wireshark. Just not sure what I need to be looking for to see the bad requests going out to the server. Any help would be appreciated.

    • I can't help you with that. You have to read the Wireshark documentation.

    • The other thing that we are noticing is that when the lockouts or sometimes slowdowns occur the very next IP that hits the web server is a google or yahoo bot. Here is google bot line and the preceding line:
