No wysiwyg editor

Perhaps someone could help me solve a non life threatening problem.
If I go into global config and select "No Wysiwyg Editor", then try to create a content item, there is no editor boxes in which to type anything.
I know I have seen this discussed somewhere on the web but my searches have not brought anything up. Anyone know what might be wrong. Normally I am using the JCE editor.

If you're saying that there's no textarea box at all, I have that problem if there's a www in the url.
If I go to mydomain.com/administrator/index.php , then it works, but not www.mydomain.com/administrator

I did try removing the www from the url but still no text edit boxes. Hmmm????

I was missing two files from the /mambots/editors directory. The two files were none.php and none.xml.
I replaced these two files and everything??? seems to be working.
