Rocket Themes not fully compatible with Jomsocial

Posted 13 years 8 months ago
    • Running Joomla 1.7 and Jomsocial 2.2.4. I have tried a number of different Rocket Theme 1.7 themes and none of them work properly with Jomsocial. As soon as I make active any RT theme all the input text input fields in Jomsocial lose all their Jomsocial stying.

This means I get no border on inactive text input fields, no border on selected text input fields and the text in all input fields is rendered very faint.

Trachyon which is supposed to be optimized for Jomsocial doesn't work right either. Tested with multiple browsers, multiple web servers, client machines and numerous installs without any third party addons.. I did my best to hack the CSS with lots of !important references but couldn't fix it all.

    • hi there,

this issue is most likely to our custom styling for input boxes and radio buttons.
try to disable 'input styling' in the template settings > advanced and see if that helps.

Nope. Toggling off input styling off only impacted my check boxes.

Update: I was able to get most of the border styling back by modding bodystyle-light.css, extensions-light.css and I fixed IE8 by modding template-IE8.css. I didn't get back the selected text input different shade border style but I suppose I will just have to live without that.

I'm too tired to post all my mods right now. If anyone else has the same problem PM me and I'll post all my mods.
