Using the Quantive template on J1.5. I have a zipped file that is 286 MB in size. Downloading it from the site to my desktop is incredibly slower than other places I've tested. Why is it so much more dramatically slower off my site as opposed to the other ways I've retrieved it?
286 MB zip:
via Quantive site (http): 1 hour 49 minutes
via an old static site (http): 17 minutes
via CyberDuck (ftp): 11.5 minutes
via Firefox (ftp): 9 minutes
Upload via Dreamweaver ftp 16 minutes

- What kind of file is it that you are downloading? I know it is a .zip file, but what does it contain? If you are on shared hosting, that can have an impact on download speeds for larger files.
