Problem with Widgets, Gantry, Omnicron

Hello,
I have the Omnicron theme for Wordpress built on Gantry and I am having problems with widgets.
What I want to do is have some pages with no sidebar at all so that it is full width - and some pages with sidebars.
I also want to have specific widgets only appear on specific pages.
So far, I have not been able to do this.
I have tried so many widget exclude plugins for wordpress (e.g. Widget Logic) and none of them worked.
So please tell me how can i remove widgets from some particular pages .. so that i can make that page full width..(Also there is no option for a full width template in this theme, so i have to remove widgets anyway, since there is no other option there).
Please help. I have been dealing with this for the last 2 months.
If anyone else out there has this problem or can help - please let me know.

They will help you to understand the mechanism of overrides, their assignments, and modifying the default layout of the site sections.

With all due respect, this is not working.
I have in fact gone through the tutorials - and my developer has also gone through the tutorials - and this is not working.
I've noticed that several other customers are also having problems with Gantry and the widget overrides as well. So I am not alone.
Can you please provide specific guidance and assistance with this issue? Or can you please ask another RT representative for their perspective?
I am back on the forum because I cannot find this solution to this problem myself - and I need help making my RocketTheme site function properly.
