Can I post a more generic Joomla! question here?

    • Hello!

I have a bunch of sites using a variety RT templates on a webserver, and all the Joomla! installs are experiencing the same problem.

I'm not certain that the issue is related to RT templates (I'm certain it's a more generic PHP/mySQL/Joomla! problem) but sadly my query has gone unanswered over at joomla.org community forums.

Would it be appropriate for me to post my question here, taking advantage of the skills of the RT developers?

      TIA

    • It's most bizarre.

Basically, certain characters truncate articles. These include: ' " and £

The article content after the character doesn't make it as far as the database (confirmed with phpMyAdmin).

Happy to post up configs if this would help. All sites on the same host (with various different RT themes) exhibit the problem, even a site migrated over via a CPanel backup.

I'm guessing mySQL is the culprit, perhaps due to a latin/UTF-8 mismatch of some description...
