RokSlideshow - Have html link on the picture

Posted 17 years 10 months ago
    • Hi, does anyone know if you can add an html link to a picture in the slideshow. I am using the slideshow in a front page module as a teaser for a larger gallery. I would like the user to be able to click on any of the pics and it will take them to the larger gallery content (page)

    • I could be wrong, but I don't think so ( just checked at www.rocketwerx.com/ and i don't see any mention of links).

Have you checked out monoslide ?

      Cheers!

    • Do you know how to label the text file and where to upoload it? I looked all over their website and there does not seem to be any documentation...

    • The answer is, or better, my workaround:

Create a text file with the same name as the image and save it in the same directory as the image:
      E.g.,
      image1.jpg
      image1.txt

My text file contains the following:

      <a href=" www.lasbestfriends.org/dev/index.php?opt...view&id=16&Itemid=44 " target="_self">Click here to see the gallery links</a>

I think that the path can be relative...

      Hope this helps...

    • Unfortunately this solution doesn't work for me with Colormatic template. The link appear above the image :-\

    • I had the same problem and was able to find a solution. I am using the simple image rotator from Joomlaworks. www.joomlaworks.gr/

The have a very long homepage so you have to scroll half way down to find it

Here is the download section: www.joomlaworks.gr/#downloads_section

By default the images are not linkable but if you use it with the joomla banner component the images can be linkable.

This was the solution that I found for my colormatic theme and need for rotating images.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to explain more.

      Thanks!
