Magento Kinetic, Major Cart Issue

I am having big trouble with the Kinetic theme. Wondering if it is connected to the template and all the many Magento hacks within the template code.
The site is at soundisolationstore.com. Add two different products to the cart, then view the cart. The cart itself is blank. Use the top menu to remove a product and the cart will appear.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

There are no "hacks" in the code. We override some core files to add additional functionality, if that's what you mean. - STEP 1 IN MAGENTO DEVELOPMENT - DISABLE YOUR CACHE OR YOU WON'T SEE ANY CHANGES.
