I am changing my site so upon registering I want it to redirect them to a landing page upon registering.
I use mod_login to redirect people upon Login and Logout but I need a redirect only once they register. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use Fabrik extension to create a custom registration form, Fabrik has a plugin that will create a Joomla account from one of their forms and then you can get it to redirect upon form submission.
Its a great form builder, and will allow you to capture as much or little as you need for your user registration, including CAPTCHA
