I'm using Mercado Wordpress Template on my website (currently hosted on my local). There's a couple of lines I want to edit.
1. When after navigating to a category from the menu I see "Category: (Category Name)" at the top of my post. It's kinda ugly and unnecessary. How do I remove it?
2. The original publish date, updated date, author name and amount of comments do not suit the purpose of my website. How do I remove them?
3. I'd like to edit paragraph below the post that includes the same kind of info as the above, plus an RSS and trackbacks link. How do I edit it?
I would like to do all of the above so it applies to where ever the post may appear on my website.
I found the answer to issues 1 and 2 in the Settings > Theme (Mercado). And then on the Gantry Dashboard > Content > Post... Easy toggle switches to address my problems.
However I still need help finding the file and preferably the line number to edit the Post Footer, which I called the paragraph below the post in my original post above.
Hi, all the files are located in the HTML folder of your theme directory, which file you edit depends on what type of page you are loading - home page, blog page, single post page ECT. You can open them and do a search for what you are looking for.
You didn't provide that information or a link to your site so I can't tell you much more unless you share that information, also please post Wordpress questions in the Wordpress forum. Thanks.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
