I've searched the forums and have found similar but not identical or current comments regarding this issue.
Logged into the backend I cannot use any of the functions to add or edit menu items. The results appear in this screen cap.

besides what prim mentions, did you try if this issue is related to missioncontrol only or is this also happening with the default admin template?

The issue started after installation of Mission Control.
Trying to switch back to a different template has not fixed the issue.

never seen this one before.
i set 'error reporting' to maximum in the global configuration and at the end of the screen shown in your screenshot, the following error shows:
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate abstract class JDatabaseQuery in /mnt/stor1-wc2-dfw1/450478/www.xxx/web/content/modules/mod_roknavmenu/fields/modules.php on line 38
your roknavmenu is version 1.2 (18-mar-2011), please update to the current version 1.7 (12-oct-2011) and see if that resolves the problem.

Upgrading the RokNavMenu did the trick.

- Hi, just to add another case. I had same problem here. I was using RokNavMenu 1.3. Upgrading to 1.7 fixed the issue.
