I've Completely Screwed Up RokStories

- I use RokStories at the top of my page but for whatever reason they have quit working. IMHO, RokStories are extremely fragile. It seems just about every time I mess around with swapping out the images and stories, something happens where one of the stories is missing from the rotation or something like that. For whatever reason, now they are showing up blank and the only thing the user sees are the articles/thumbnails on the left. This started happening when I told the module to display RS3 as the first article. When I leave that option blank, it just shows RS2 over and over and does cycle through the other RokStories. - So far I can't even get it to work, and the module has disappeared from the module manager several times, forcing me to uninstall / reinstall. I have yet to find a full explanation of how to work with it. Any suggestions? (This is the 1.5 version - I had even more trouble with the 1.7 version of the template so I dropped back to 1.5).

- Same here. Rokstories are so fragile that they are barely useful. Just about everytime I make a change, one of the image quite showing up in the rotation or the same one shows up over and over, or even worse it is blank and none show up. Support is this forum has been useless as well thus far. I am considering doing a chargeback on my purchase due to zero support being available. I'm not sure what is going through these people's heads that they think it is ok for us to have our websites broken for weeks while we wait on some person to be nice and answer a post. I think RocketTheme is a prime example of greed combined with laziness. They want our money to join the club yet they are too lazy to support their product.

- If I were you, I would check out joomlaxtc.com. They have awesome templates as well AND THEY OFFER SUPPORT!!! You can submit a support ticket whenever you have a problem.

Whilst I know it's frustrating to have to wait for anything, compared to any of the other template sites, I have found that the RT team and (to a greater extent) its forum members give the best support out there most of the time.
We had this same discussion recently over on the Gavick forum and "support" was once again the biggest gripe. What I like here is the huge resource available for us to do a search for ourselves, as 99 times out of 100, the question you need an answer for has already been asked and answered.
When it's specific queries that you can't find an answer for I normally get an answer back within 24 hours here from either a member of the RT team or other forum members. Yes, sometimes things slip through the cracks, but as 99% of the posts made are of the "how do I do this" with CSS type post, which a little personal research online would answer, I'm not surprised they get swamped sometimes.
I'm sure they would be happy to implement a much more robust 'support' system with dedicated support staff, but you'd better then expect to pay a hell of a lot more than we do now for it.
One thing to note also is that when a forum post is made, if someone answers it before it gets looked at by an RT team member, then (as I understand it) it's been 'answered' and taken out of the queue for them to look at. This post was 'answered' by another member so I'm guessing RT hasn't seen it yet.

My point is that the other template sites like joomlaxtc.com DO offer support and are priced right around the same as RT. Based on that, if RT tried to jack up their pricing "a hell of a lot more" then they would just be being greedy. I would gladly pay for per incident support if the price was reasonable. By reasonable, I mean comparable to the other sites offering template that are the same quality, etc. as RT.
The main point I am making is that my last 6 or 7 posts have gone unanswered for weeks. Not sure why you are getting your answers within 24 hours but that has not been my experience at all.
As far as your PM idea, every one of the Mods has a message that says "Don't PM unless requested." Yet another way of avoiding support responsibilities IMHO.
Summarily, I can't exactly use any of the RT templates in production if I am waiting weeks to get things fixed when the break.
