Restrict site to registered users only

Posted 17 years 10 months ago
    • Hi all,

Well I'm getting really good at installing Joomla - but I'm learning as I go. We've all got to make our own mistakes. Now that I've applied my Rocket Theme before I do anymore I need to "secure" the site. So, this will be a private site used to dispense technical info to field service technicians. My question is how do I go about having a nice welcome page only and a user MUST be logged in to proceed any further. I've searched for a mod that might do this but to no avail. Any constructive pointers or directions gratefully accepted.

    • Hi Gollum - We have another member in this forum called GollumX. I had to look twice

Could you not just have your Usermenu as the main menu of your site. That way only people who are logged in will see the nav..

    • They can still get back to the original login page then though.

      But it is easier. :D
