Replicating my site on a new installation

    • Hello there. I want to replicate my site on a new installation that I've made.

I don't mean to make a backup, I could use Akeeba backup for this, instead I want to install a blank joomla 1.5 and then starting step-by-step to create it from the beggining, extension-by-extension, query-by-query, template-by-template etc.

So I want to start from the template. Should I just copy the modulus template from the old site and upload it into my /templates/ folder? Or I must run SQL queries too? I don't want to install the template from the beggining cause I've made some customizations to the old one (mostly CSS & images).

    • Hi
with content it is easy....on JED are many content export/import extensions and utilities. But with other extensions you will end up installing into new site extension and after that manually copying SQL DB tables.
    • I am here to help you. But do not forget to write all information - joomla version and if possible link to your problem. No PM´s unless requested!!
If you send access info in PM, write also link to your site and link to forum thread!!!
