Hi, Been looking around but couldnt find the answer regarding blogs and news section.
I have nearly finished building my site using Nebulae template, J1.7.3 but now I need a Blog/News part.
I love how Rocket have there blog set out ( www.rockettheme.com/blog ) can anyone help me out with this one?

Is this phpBB3 pre built in Joomla and would it be easy to build it in using my Nebulae template?

- phpBB3 is a platform designed for bulletin boards and forums that operates outside of Joomla. But if you are just creating a blog there may be simpler options. Check this list out: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/authoring-a-content/blog

I guess it deppends what you would like to achieve. For example, if I were looking for an method for blogging similar to WordPress, I might try to find an extension that mimics it. An extension is also your best bet for an instant look that you don't need to style yourself. Hopefully it's one you like.
On the other hand if it I knew it would just be a single list of articles I write ever so often, I might just use the category and article functionality already built in to Joomla. You may have to add your own styles to make the blog section of your site stand out with this option. - B

Thanks for this... it's becoming a little mine field !! I'm A little new when it comes to joomla.. at this point in time the Blog/News would be small but would play a big part in things, I liked the style that Rocket has there Blog section. am I right in thinking any extension/mods it would work along site my Nebulae template?
I have to say with me been new to this and so many Blogging / News Mods I'm getting a little lost in all this!!

Hi Everyone, Thank you for the links provided, But I thought I would give this K2 thing a try as I have it installed. appears easy but lol "yeah yeah, always a but lol" It look nothing but poo on my site
no point having a slick site only to be spoiled by this!!!
Can anyone help me out setting this up and making it look part of the site making it look great!
I can send details via PM any help would be wonderful on this issue. only real reasonI have gone down K2 and not the Joomla default is because K2 has Facebook and Twitter Like on it.
