Creating something like RokTabs with multiple categories?

I love the way RokTabs looks, but I see that it is impossible to use it to display multiple categories. Is there either a way to make it do this to display sub-categories within a category, with separate categories on each tab? Or does anyone have any idea how I can pull off something similar?
My site is a racing site, so I have a Points category, a Results category, and a Competition Copyright category. Both Points and Results have sub categories broken down into separate classes. What I'd like the tabs to do is read "Points", "Results", and "Competition Copyright" and when clicked on, Points and Results will list the classes to be clicked on further to dates, and eventually an article published for whatever date the user is looking for. The Competition Copyright is just a weekly newsletter and can be published as an article dated for each race.
Anybody have any suggestions?
