Menu Bar Color and Fonts Not Lining Up

Im trying to fix the following on the attached image on a web site that isnt online yet.
This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.
1) Put a color on the menu bar only and not the top. As you can see from the attached the Menu bar has no color and we need to put a blue behind it.
2) Put all the fonts in the middle of the menu as you can see they drop down when selected. The attached shows them dropping out of line.
3) Place a color on the sub-nav bar as its clear. The Sub-Nav is clear which is probably related to the Nav-Bar color issue, not attached.
4) Have everything on the nav bar line up properly as the divider lines are too big.
