    joomla 2.5 & migration(s)??

    • I heard that 1.5 installs can be migrated up to 2.5... this would be great as i love some of the older 1.5 templates. like Hybrid for instance.

      *does a clear path exist for upgrading a 1.5 RT (no extra components/plugins added) to joomla 2.5?

      I would appreciate some insight on the matter

    • There is no great upgrade path from 1.5 to 2.5. There is a 3rd party extension called JUpgrade:

      redcomponent.com/jupgrade

      This is not a fool-proof migration and our experience has not been great with the process. We usually rebuild by hand coping over our data from 1.5 to 2.5.
