Should I wait for the Rocket Launcher 2.5 Syndicate template

Tip # 2 advices to used the latest version of the template. I am not real familiar with the RT templates, and want to use the rocket launcher, but it is not available in 2.5 for the Syndicate template.
Am I better off waiting until a rocket launcher 2.5 is available? Or should I use the rocket launcher 1.5 and try to update later? Not sure what to do. I am anxious to get started but do not want to cause problems and extra work. Does anyone know if and when the Syndicate template will have a 2.5 Rocket Launder?
What would a more experienced person do or recommend?

We currently do not have a timeframe on the completion of RocketLaunchers. I would guess at least 3-4 weeks before a Syndicate 2.5 launcher is available.
A RocketLauncher isn't necessary for using our templates, they just provide themselves as useful guides. In terms of reference, the 1.5 launcher should provide a lot of information. Although the setup maybe slightly different for some things, the vast majority of it is near identical.
Therefore, you can setup a new J2.5 site using Syndicate, and just use the J1.5 launcher as a baseline for reference. - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK

Thank you for the help.
It appears that I should download and install the 2.5 template bundle, but only download the launcher without uploading it. Using it as a guide. Or do I install both?

what james meant was that you install the 1.5 rocketlauncher on a test environment or subdirectory and check the backend settings to see how things were set up. then you can manually recreate those modules and demo content in your real joomla 2.5 site.

Hi Paul,
As James points out, there isn't a Joomla 2.5 RocketLauncher for this template so all you can do is load the bundle if it is a Joomla install that has not had Gantry installed.
RocketLaunchers are loaded to a sub-domain so you can see layouts, html code where required etc.
