Rokstories Banner Problem

I'm new to all of this, so please go easy on me. I have a site I'm working on, attxpress.com. We have a story banner section on the front page with currently 2 banner images rotating. It has suddenly stopped working and I have no idea why. Ok, I might have an idea why, but the idea doesn't make any sense to me. I tried installing a new FORM component through EXTENSION MANAGER. It didn't work, kept giving me an error saying "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file". Which I don't even pretend to understand. So, if you have any solutions to that one I'd appreciate it also. Back to my problem. Once I tried to install the new FORM component is when the rotating banner on the front page stopped working. Can anyone help? Please???

- Almost certainly a MooTools/jQuery conflict I would expect. Without seeing the site, hard to say for sure tho.

the site is www.attxpress.com . Unless of course you're talking about the backend of the site. Which unfortunately I'm not able to allow access to. I appreciate the quick response. Is there any direction you could point me to figure this out based on the conflict you think is occuring?

If it was AcyMailer and you're not actually using it, then that code is still being loaded. You'll need to go in and manually remove all traces of any files that it installed in the backend.
For future reference, use Akeeba Backup to take snapshot backups of your site before installing anything new and then you can revert to an earlier backup if something goes wrong.
On the off-chance that it is a conflict, you can install this:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/scripts/7230 - CMYKreative : Graphic Design , Web Design , Printing , Banner Ads , Branding and more.

Ignore all the above, I found the problem (see attached).
You've changed the code in the css to hide the image, see grab2.jpg . . . turn off/delete the highlighted code and it'll work fine.

Ok, I follow exactly what you have showed me. Makes perfect sense. My question is this. How? Is there somewhere in Joomla that I can access the code that I need to edit?

- Typically people would work on the file locally using a text editor or Dreamweaver and then FTP the file up to the server.

Which would be easy enough except I can't find the particular css file I'm looking for (rokstories.css) and apparently I don't have ftp access to the site. Someone else designed the thing, then it got dropped in my lap for upkeep.

That's a bit of a problem . . .
Try installing something like Ninja XPlorer or eXtplorer to manage file uplaods/downloads from within Joomla.
For the css and locating where and what to alter, use Firefox and the Firebug extension. - CMYKreative : Graphic Design , Web Design , Printing , Banner Ads , Branding and more.
