I have the option turned on and it is set to the default display position of mobile-copyright. It should display the option for looking at the site in the standard html browser view or in the mobile view, correct? I don't see it anywhere when I look on my mobile(droid). This always worked for me when I used Mobile Joomla, but I would like to just stick to Gantry for this site if possible. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

I'm just another member trying to help, but it looks like you accidentally turned something off. If you go to the following link on your smartphone (which is the Rocket Theme demo of the same template you are using), you will see that the "Off/On" switch is at the bottom of the page:
I could be wrong, but it looks like the module that is supposed to be in that bottom position is "unpublished" on your site. You may have accidentally unpublished (or trashed/deleted) it while you were removing demo modules. But like I said, I could be wrong.

How interesting.
I did disable the branding option in Gantry. This option is published to copyright-c, which is where the mobile-copyright position is aliased too. When I enabled the branding, I did get partial success. The button now shows up, but only on the iphone useragent(I am using dolphin browser to test/switch between them). The droid version shows the branding space published, but no button for it. So, maybe this issue is more specific to the droid template. I should note that the same behavior happens on the demo site -- no button in android(at least on my setup -- dolphin browser on galaxy gsII)
However, this is at least much further than I was getting before.

Yeah, that is weird.
I was looking at the demo site on my iPhone, but haven't looked at it on Android yet. That may be something that will be worked out in the next update of the template, which is what I would expect, since they did say that they were in a rush to get the template out to us.
Sorry I couldn't provide you with more assistance, and good luck with everything.
