Woke up today to find that I've been hacked >
"This Site Hacked By Spy HaCkeR Team"
I still can FTP to my server but I'm unable to get to joomla admin.
I host this server myself so a complete wipe/rebuild?

You must first change your FTP user info with your hosting.. ( cus its smart to do so )
I personally kno of no way that you can recover from being hacked. there are FAQ's on the joomla website about it...
If they havent deleted everything it might still be there i would advice changing feilds in your config file or deleting it to disable there immediate access..
This time make sure you follow the joomla secruity guide lines =P

It was my config.php file that I left wide open :'( when I was working on the site.
Installed a back-up
Everything is working
Changed all passwords
Hope this is the end!

such an easy and costly mistake - i make it all the time
luckily - no one seems to be arsed hacking me
suggest you make *atleast* weekly backups (daily if the sites busy) - if you host the server yourself - there shouldnt be any problem with that - Joomla Extensions - www.ninjoomla.com

Hey Eric,
Had the same issue yesterday, but this was due to a security issue with the gmaps module. I'd check you're not using that.
