When attempting to login to joomla admin cpanel the login fails and refreshes the login screen. I have not made any changes to the site. This just popped up out of no where. I have tried quite a few steps to resolve it and have not succeeded. If anyone has any insight on this please do share, thank you.
The host provider had to do a complete restore of the site for me. It worked fine for a day or so. Now it has reverted back to the admin login loop. Anyone have any input on this?
The issue has come back. It seems to happen overnight. This is happening to two rocket theme templates with mission control templates. The host proider thinks it may be related to the custom templates. Anyone have an idea? using joomla 2.5
Yes, exactly . . . 2.5.6 was working fine for a week on a site we have under development, but then suddenly stopped allowing us to login . . . very weird.
I've seen a LOT of threads around mentioning this, but none of the 'fixes' work . . . we've gone back to a pre-2.5.6 backup for the moment.
are you using mission control template for joomla admin cpanel? I have just switched back to the default template for admin cpanel and will see what happens.
I was having this problem and it was related to the cookie domain in the configuration.php file. I'm working on a dev server who's domain is different from my production server. find the entry in the config file and just delete the value. After doing that I was able to login again.
