Possible Virus or Injection?

    • I've googled this and cannot find anything except that it's in other websites. Let me explain my sitch and then if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear.

When I start my computer (iMac 24" 2009) and then start safari, my home page is Apple.com. Well I've been noticing that the actual URL that pops up is apple.com/?ynano <--- I'm like what's that but thought nothing of it. Then, I'm working on a RocketTheme, I think it was Clarion and I created an article (using the default text editor) and just typed in "TEXT". I was having issues with the template working so I was tinkering and went ahead and chose no editor. Clicked back on the article and found this:

      <p>TEXT</p>
      <div id="ynano_hooks_page" style="display: none;"> </div>
      <div id="ynano_hooks_page" style="display: none;"> </div>

^^^^^^What the heck is that!?!? Oh well, I run a virus scan on the site and my computer...no results. I completely trash my design site css...EVERYTHING. So I start a new site using Ximenia....I've cleaned up everything ready to put my design on it and I click on the first article that I'm going to "replace" and find this at the bottom of the code:

      <div id="ynano_hooks_page" style="display: none;"> </div>
      <div id="ynano_hooks_page" style="display: none;"> </div>

Looks like an injection doesn't it? Any ideas what it is or what I should do? Thanks RT!!!

    • Hi there,

Not having a Mac I have no idea if it is something peculiar to Mac products. A quick Google search showed a few sites with this code.

Not sure if it helps any
