SOLVED How to know if gantry is installed and its location?

  • SOLVED How to know if gantry is installed and its location?

Posted 12 years 9 months ago
    • Hi all,

I have used RockLauncher for a site (Clarion) but in the template manager I can just see Clarion template. Also I would like to be sure that Gantry is installed and its location on the site.

      Thanks and regards,

    • Please see the file attached (this one is Halcyon instead of Clarion but the problem remains the same).

      Thanks.

    • So ... what is the the problem?
The template shows in the frontend and in the backend.
Gantry does not show in the template manager ... it's a component.
You can also check the Extension Manager: Manage ...

Or can't you access the settings of the template?

    • I assumed gantry should be shown equally as a template (according to the video at this link: www.gantry-framework.org/?platform=joomla ).

Apparently, Gantry's template is merged with rocketheme's template but its location (in goal to know if its installed) can only be seen in (only) the Extension Manager as Component and as Library (please see the file attached).

I think this last the correct answer.

    • No it's not.

there are two things (and it has been always been that way)

      There is

1.) the Gantry component that provides the framework ...
... that is used in ...
2.) the Gantry template – wich is a basic boilerplate-template for developers

Nothing merged. You can still download and install that template.
Actually that is what I use mostly.

    • It is more complex than that looks like....(i am just trying to fully understand how the things work...).
      There is

1.) the Gantry component that provides the framework ...
... that is used in ...
2.) the Gantry template – wich is a basic boilerplate-template for developers

      Nothing merged.

So, if it is not merged one should presently see the template boilerplate-template in the template manager.

      Thanks and regards,

    • This is obvious.

Also, I should re-formulate my question by this way : what do I need to have installed for rockettheme's templates using gantry ((Clarion, and so forth) since one could usually read something like "you need gantry installed". In fact it seems to simply means "one means Gantry Framework for Joomla 2.5 installed")?
