Restoring content with new template and virtuemart
Posted 17 years 8 months ago
Before I was a member I used joomla e-commerce edition with a free template. (So I had a mysql database, I had a joomla template and I had some Virtuemart content like selling items in categories)
Now I used - like someone of the support RocketTheme told me - the RT installation of VersatilityIII (it could be another ofcourse) and then the installation of Virtuemart (with some modules and mambots).
Now I like to import the content of Virtuemart within the new installation.
This is what I already tried:
1. delete mysql database "test, copy old database to database "test". I have my Virtuemart content but all nice things (modules, mambots, ..) from the RT template are gone.
2. exported in the virtuemart administration to a csv file and imported in the new virtuemart administration. But doesn't work.
Incorrect column count
Configration: 24 fields
File: 25 fields

No one ever want to do what I try to accomplish? Is this really the first time someone want to restore to another database/installation?
No tip, no link?
I don't sit and wait, but for now ........ no luck yet.
I 'll try to install joomla, install virtuemart and the previous mysql database and then start the manual installation of a RT template. I hope I can things work like rocketzoom or rocketslideshow, ......

Letting the templates work is no problem, but it is the data (about 1000 items) of Virtuemart that I can't restore.
I have joomla e-commerce, I have a VersIII template with working rockmoo. But I also want my data of Virutemart back. I hve a mysql backup, I have a csv exported from within the administration but importing it into the new site just doesn't work

I already did so many things that I forgot what I already did, in what order, how, ... Now it's working day so I 'll have to wait to try this... to be continued..
And ofcourse, thanks for your time.
