If you post something ridiculous then keep bumping it, that's more what we are referring to.
If you mean that, you should remove what it says in the rules about bumping. Because it specifically say "Useless posts are not allowed" and it uses bumping as an example of useless posts. And this is why it confused me to see the bump-option when viewing my own post.
And yes, I know why bumping is not smart
The real problem in a busy forum comes when you have an active thread that either gets abandoned by the moderator in the middle of solving a problem, or it gets hijacked by someone else (you might consider adding a hijacking section in the rules) or it plainly gets ignored. What do you then do?
