    • I am getting the following error and trying to figure out what is wrong. Has anyone had this problem before?
DB function failed with error number 1146
      Table 'cleanmy_delldiscounts.cleanmy_session' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT session_id FROM cleanmy_session WHERE session_id = '0e826c8b031568e86ad792f85aedd292'
      SQL =

      SELECT session_id
      FROM cleanmy_session
      WHERE session_id = '0e826c8b031568e86ad792f85aedd292'

My hosting company is installing a backup of the site and a backup of the database, but they think it is a problem with joomla. It didn't have this problem before and worked great till it got hacked.

      Any help would be great

      Thanks,

      William

    • Sorry, I put this in the wrong place. If the mods can put it where it belongs and let me know I would be grateful.

    • open up Jooma admin and check System Info.

Is your session save path writable?

I'm probably totally off ... I am clueless when it comes to MySQL :D

    • Hey William,

Do you have access to the actual database?
If so are there any users listed in jos_users?
If there is you should be able to make one of them a super admin.

    • what did you do that might have caused this? did you install an extension or mess with joomla files?

Or was this a new installation?

You may need to go in with phpMyAdmin to upgrade a user to super admin.

    • Well, my IT Guy was supposedly moving it over from windows server to a lynx server. He is no longer working here and has just disappeared. I do not know what he may have done and am working blindly trying to fix it. Problem being I am not a coder, never really done any database work, and have only worked on joomla after it was install by my IT guy. I am a designer, and I am muddling my way through trying to take a crash course at the same time. :)

I am waiting for my host to install the backups of the site and the database and see if that fixes the problem. If not, I will have to figure how to fix the database, without breaking it further. :)

    • did this problem start just when they did the backup or you installed some components before? some components do cause a lot of session id problems !

    • I got the session id problems when the restored the site. I am still having the problems and still cannot get into the site admin. I went into the database and seen the users are still there. Why would it tell me there not? I have a backup of the database the gave me, but do not know how to restore it. I am still learning all of this - just at a faster rate then I thought I would have too. :)

I am at such a lost with all of this. I have been working at getting an investor to invest in my idea and now have nothing to show. :(

    • Anyone have any more ideas I can try? I am at a lost and banging my head on a wall. Just got an email from my investor wanting to see a working version of the site. Woo Wee :{ I could harm my IT guy if I could find him. Any help would be extremely grateful. This session id is driving me nuts. I am getting no where with the hosting company. They gave me a backup of the database, but a lot of good that is doing me at the moment. If someone can help me get this going in the right direction, they will be rewarded once I get the fat check from the investor.

William <-- really wants to stop banging head :)
