    • ***MySQL*** The first thing you need to do is identify and gain access to your mysql DB that was used for this site previously. Then use phpmyadmin to check and make sure that the tables are still there. I would then reset the password.

***Joomla*** Check your configuration.php file and write down everything.

      Look for:
      $mosConfig_secret =

      and write-down the entry.

Go HERE and follow the instructions on creating a new admin password. Once it generates the new "Hexed" password, copy and paste it into your configuration.php.

      I hope this helps!

    • If you have the database and the site files get them to me and I will try and install them. Either on your current host or a temp one I set up. Worth a shot.

    • Okay, so a question. Now, I am not getting the session error I am getting this:

Warning: main(D:/hshome/cleanmyw/mysite.com/includes/version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/cleanmyw/mysite.com/includes/joomla.php on line 71

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'D:/hshome/cleanmyw/mysite.com/includes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR:/usr/local/share/pear') in /hsphere/local/home/cleanmyw/mysite.com/includes/joomla.php on line 71

I checked the files and version.php is in the includes folder.

I replaced name of site with mysite.com

any clues? Yes I am looking at joomla.org for answers as well. :)

    • Like I said, files in hand I will try anything....hell, if you want a different hosting account set up so you can try it there, I can do that as well (depending on space)

    • Okay, I got the site up and running. I moved it over to a different host, they imported the database for me and I changed the configuration.php to reflect the new database location.

My question now is - Is anyone familiar with community builder? I have tried upgrading to the new version and finding one heck of a fight on my hands with it. I have been to the joomapolis forum with no luck. As stated in another post by someone that forums just don't get the response as here.

Someone said to drop the tables with comprofiler and that would help create a fresh install. Yea right, and how would I do that? I have never messed with a database and afraid I might mess it up.

Joe, thanks for your response - if you can send me an email I can send you a way to get in. Don't want to post here. :)
