All old modules lost - Joomla

Hi,
Total noob question very new to all of this and couldn't find where to post so please feel free to relocate to appropriate location.
I joined the Joomla club so that I could get the Ximenia Template. I downloaded the bundle package since I previously have no other RocketTheme products. I uploaded and installed as I have with other free Templates but now all of the modules have disappeared from view on the site.
Can tell you the site was built around Joomla 2.5 and was working fine previous to install. Really hoping I don't have to start over will hold off getting the Ximenia phpbb forum template until I can get this sorted as wanted them to be matching.
Any suggestions or advice on what I have done wrong would be greatly appreciated.

- Each template has it's own module positions defined so you just have to go through your modules, configure them and assign them to the proper module positions defined in Ximenia template

Again big thanks have started to get it all back into place but have another question if you don't mind. How do I alter the width of the site?
Also is there anything I should know prior to installing and using the Ximenia Phpbb3 forum template or will that be more straight forward?
