How to convert any template to a responsive design?

I know this was probably discussed somewhere else, but I could not find it in these forums anywhere, and have been searching for hours. I was wondering if anyone knows where to find instructions on how to convert a non-responsive template to responsive. I would assume that the instructions need to be general instructions as to be useful to anyone needing to convert just about any previous RT template, if they are brave and daring enough to attempt this conversion on their own. I'm probably reaching a little, but had to give it a shot

I am looking to convert one of the RT templates (Ximenia) to responsive, but don't know where to start and don't see a timetable for when Rocket Theme plans to have it converted (no rush, I know you guys have more important fish to fry, like Gantry 5).
If we had some instructions or a hint as to where to start learning how to do this, we could at least attempt to convert a couple of the templates to responsive ourselves, right? It would be great if all we had to do was add a line of code to a css file somewhere

UPDATE: a quote from James I just found that was posted about 4-5 days ago:We are in the process of converting the remainder of the 2012 templates to responsive. No details on when they will be released, but we also want to do a tutorial to outline the process, again no estimates but that is our plan.

You can't change a template from 960 grid etc based fixed system to a responsive one just like that. It's a whole new chapter altogether; there is a difference between fluid and responsive and you have to consider different devices and their screen sizes, it is just not about a single line of code. Rockettheme is using elements from Bootstrap as will J3 and if you are not familiar with it not to mention css you are never ever going to be able to get it done.
I remember there was a series of posts here some time back when they were first incorporating responsiveness in their design with regards to some important stuff (not in forum). You may look it up if you feel interested in digging deeper, it's a whole new world with many interesting facets and challenges.

I was just kidding when I said "one line of code", I knew it was way more detailed than that. It looks like they're on their way to converting 2012 at the moment, so there is no need for me to dig deep into anything (lol). They're usually on top of things like this anyways, so I'm not too concerned about things at the moment. These new responsive designs are great, with waaaay more functionality than the previous 960 grid sites. It's just too bad that we only have 4 soon to be 5 to choose from right now. Overall, the 2012 designs have been really good.
It would be nice if they finished 2012 within the next few days (lol). I'll probably start developing new sites using some of the 2012 non-responsive designs for the next few months and then convert them over to the responsive versions once they become available. I'm sure it won't be too much longer though. Hopefully they'll add a "Responsive" column to the Compatibility Matrix on the following page:
