I found that SMF has WAP builtin. THe url is something like
http://server_name/index.php?wap
All you need to do is put a button up there linking to a link that will look something like

WAP=Wireless Application Protocol
It is a techie way of saying simple and sweet html, which can fit a mobile application, without any blitz. Just plain simple text. Ideally, if you have RSS, you can use Mobile based RSS reader but having WAP is also nice.
