error installing template or any component

I just recently started getting this error I was trying to upload some new stuff via joomexplorer but would upload failed. So i thought i would try to reinstall joomexplorer but I couldnt reinstall would get this error Extracted file /home/kglass/public_html/media/install_46e6e7eaeb354/rt_elemental/images/index.html does not have the correct file size '' (44 expected). Archive may be corrupted. I get this on everything that I try to install including rockettheme templates sometimes I get cant find xml file in package when trying to install component your help is greatly appreciated.
