Maelstrom Template forms problem

    • I have a strange problem using the Maelstrom template.

Using the standard "Atomic - Default" and my email contact form everything works as expected, but when I switch to using the Maelstom template the 'Name' and 'Email Address" input fields do not apprear on the form.

Obvioulsy it's something to do with the way that the Maelstrom template is configured, and so I was wondering whether someone could point me in the right direction to at least try and further analyse and fault find.

      Many thanks
      Regards
      Dave

    • I been interrogating the .css and found a reference to class="control-label" in demo.rockettheme.com/joomla/graffito/features/typography ) which is the same label used in the application code. The problem is I can't see this referenced in the typography.css file.

Could anyone provide any advice or how to circumvent the problem?

      Regards
      Dave

    • Can you please provide a link to your website so we can see the issue?

    • Hi there,
I have been working on this problem all morning and discovered that changing the four references to "<div class="controls">" within my contact_owner.html to a straight <div> seems to resolve the problem with the alignment but maybe you can advise whether this is okay or whether there is a better way to resolve.

    • It appears your contact form is coming from a third party component - meaning it's not part of the Joomla core or a product we make. If that is the case, then our template will not contain styling for this. In addition, the component itself may have it's own styling that conflicts with our template styling.

Removing any custom div id's or class names as you have done is fine, as now there is no conflict and the template styles can be inherited from the template. We can't guarantee or support that our themes will work as expected with anything other than our products and the default Joomla core.
