    • Hello Everyone,

I've installed JCE on a localhost development site using a Rockettheme template Replicant. Upon
installation JCE seems to strip out all of the custom classes...particularly in RoKFlow and RokSlide modules.

I really like the features in JCE and would like to use it. I would be very grateful if someone could give me advise
      on how to remedy this.

      Best regards,
      Agnes Fox

    • When I do use an editor, I use the TinyMCE editor. If I need to import items from MSOffice, I will turn on the FCKeditor due to its Excel and Word importing capabilities.

**Note: I get the best results inporting office documents when using IE and the FCKeditor. The Office formatting, for some reason, gets stripped when using Firefox...

No WYSIWG for me. Doing my work in dreamweaver and then pasting the html in joomla has made things so much easier and quicker.

Thats great for us, but i don't think i can handle to teach all my editors and publishers HTML.

I use in my site Jce for the image handling is great for regular people since joomla image handler's sucks for inexperience users.

    • I really like JCE but I am running into trouble using it because it uses mootools and there is a conflict with it and RT templates which also uses mootools. For some of my users this showed up when they tried to edit through the front-end using the edit icon. This issue seems to be only a IE issue. How are you getting around these issues?

I know JCE uses Mootools and I suspect there is some kind of conflict but I am not sure how to trace this down. Does anyone else run a site with Elemental and uses JCE as their editor?

Your suspicious are correct. JCE usually causes problems due to it calling mootools. Basically they will conflict if there are 2 calls for mootools.js and if there are different versions/files.

1# Disable JCE or its mootools
      2# Disable the templates scripts

If I was going to disable a mootools.js it would be the one for JCE but I am not sure where to do that.

I also looked at this solution: www.cellardoor.za.net/forum/category-6/message-7253.html#7253
but I noticed the RT template already had this in the header.

      Any information appreciated!

      Thanks,

    • That did not work. It's turning off for the content items, but not the modules. I'm trying to place a you tube video in a module and publish it. The HTML editor f's it up. I've done this already on www.nmgevents.com
