    RokPad Support

Posted 12 years 1 month ago
    • I'm not sure if this is where I can post a feature request/support question. I'm trying to figure out how to use Rokpad or TinyMCE to edit entries in a database table. I just need to edit the date field of each entry so I can develop a page that will pull the content based on the current date. I posted in the RokPad Support, but haven't heard anything. I attached screen shots for what I'm currently using.
      Thanks

    • Hi there,

      No screen shots attached.

If the data already exists in the form of articles the just edit the articles' created dates.

      Hope this helps 8)

These are the snapshots. The current page basically connects to the database, and displays it pretty much as it would be displayed in phpmyadmin. I just don't want to give anyone access to that.

    • Hi there,

I cannot see how you will be able to use an editor to actually change fields directly in the database. In effect the article itself would be a single field and that record would be saved when the article is saved. But to display a table from the database and expect the editor to update a selected field just isn't going to happen.

      Hope this helps 8)

    • OK. thanks. I might just have to provide and restrict access to the phpmyadmin console and only allow access to the one database table. The plugin that is currently used is called Ultimate Editor. You can look at it from the link below.
      www.karamasoft.com/ultimateeditor/features.aspx
The problem is that there isn't a PHP version to convert.
      THanks for the help
