permissions wont change so i cant update anything :(

hi folks.
got a problem thats really bugging me.
everytime i try to upload an image etc it doesnt show up.
it wont let me change the images in the mobius template... or many other templates.
ive installed joomla on about 5 sites and 4 of them wont update.
any ideas?
ive gone direct into cpanel and file manager and even tried changing files there but it just says i dont have permission.
i have no clue as to what i should do next....

oh just to add i have full permission son my server etc.
i have many other websites using joomla... i can upload to them.
www.urbanstyler.co.uk is a site ive just built and am continuing to build... this works fine
www.beyondcode.co.uk is a site ive just started to build which is the one im having problems with.
