SOLVED: Akeeba backup and restore failed with Cerulean templ
Posted 12 years 3 weeks ago
Hello,
I have been working on a local site with the Cerulean template (with all the extensions) active. After the site was ready I have been busy for approx 2 days to get the thing running on the live server.
The thing was that after a restore the website only showed data (text). I could see that things where related to the theme but Images where gone and the site didn't work at all. Also the administrator page was blank.....
I have tested a backup and restore with almost every akkeba version that I could get my hands on (also the pro version) but coulddn't get the site to work.
Finally I choose another template in the backend and did an backup and restore. Everything was ok after that. I could also see the administrator page and I could login. After changing to my Cerulean template everything was OK. Everything showed perfect as on the local drive. Really strange!
Now I am a bit afraid that if I make automatic back-ups (with the template loaded off course) that I can't restore them anymore because of the fact that I can't login to the administrator site.
Are these know issues?
Is there something that I can do to prevent this?

Hello Wilfried,
That's indeed very strange, more so because I am using the Cerulean template on my development Joomla! 3.0.2 site. That's one of the three main sites Akeeba Backup is being developed on. Can you please tell me the PHP, Joomla!, Gantry, Cerulean and Akeeba Backup versions you are using on your site so that I can try to reproduce this issue?

I tested using your setup, but only with Akeeba Backup 3.7.4 (Core and Professional) as the other versions are obsolete and I don't intend on supporting them forever I could not reproduce your issue in any form, even with the LESS compiler enabled. The original pageload after the restoration takes a while as the LESS compiler has to rebuild its cache, but that's all there is to it.
