    Problem with Rok Mossaic Tags

Posted 12 years 3 weeks ago
    • I want to make RokSprocket Mossaic module where the content provider is a K2 category, and there are several tabs each of which contains items from a subcategory of the afore mentioned K2 category.

I thought it would be easy to achieve this with RokSprocket Mossaic, but it is not. The only way to make tabs with Rok Mossaic is to type in tags for each item. I had to type in each subcategory's name as a tag for respective items. Not only this requires much more work, but also when I create new k2 items, I had to type in the tag for it manually.

I don't get this tag feature. Is there anyway to make items get tags automatically? It seems doesn't recognize k2 item tags either. Or maybe RT can just make RokSprocket Mossaic recognize categories.

Besides, I found another problem with Mossaic: Although I have chosen content filter as "category is one of mycategories", when I click "load more" the module still loads all items.

    • RokSprocket doesn't use K2 tags at all so you have to type them manually into each item.

Which version of RokSProcket do you use?

    • It's 1.8.3 the latest one I guess.

It's really a shame rokSprocket mosaic doesn't have this feature

    • Then why did you ask me? Is there anything I should know about 1.8.8 regarding this issue?

    • This is big issue. Cause most of clients dont want to module manager and tag each time after they have added content to respective category. At least their should be option to where we can specify
Filtering should work by tags / Category / or some thing else.

      Any solutions for this?

That is the way RokSprocket works and is developed so I don't see a solution that could satisfy your clients.

Please post your questions next time in new thread. There are multiple reasons for that so let me list just few of them:

      1. whenever you post in some other member thread, member who opened that thread receives notification in his inbox about that also. In case your issue or resolution is not the same as OP, that just spams his inbox with unnecessary emails
      2. since we have multiple mods working on the forum, it is easier for other mods to spot your issue if you post in in a separate thread. If you post in already used thread, only mod that participates in that thread will see your question
      3. it is easier for other members to find a solution in case they try to find something if solutions are spread in separate threads
