I am sure it has probably been asked before (and will probably be asked again) but…
Is there a way, perhaps a plug-in, to cut and past formatted copy directly from a Word or PDF document directly into content – and have it retain its formatting?
Alternatively, is there a way to display a Word or PDF document as content?

- Nope, formatting is always touch and go. AFAIK The closest you can get is by using JCE ... look for the "paste from Word" button.
