Uploading to a plesk panel controlled server

Can anyone advise. I am trying to upload joomla to a server controlled with a plesk panel. I have full access to the panel. When I upload the rocketlauncher I can navigate to 1st install screen and it looks fine. I put in details and click next but then nothing. It just hangs and doesn't move to the screen for inputing localhost etc. I have tried with different rocketlauncher templates and have tried installing via FTP and using the plesk panel - same results.
Now Plesk has a handy 'application' where it will install a working version of joomla 3.0.3 on my site- it works fine then I try to upload a rockettheme bundle with gantry onto this working version. As soon as I try navigating to the template manager and click on my installed theme I get this message:
