Forum Search is quite frustrating...what's the point?

    • To be honest, i don't see a reason why anyone should use the buggy Custom Google Search when they're using Joomla 1.5. CGS might even break your page due to bad coding and i think the search module in 1.5 works quite well :)

      AdSense is also buggy but that's another topic :P

      Btw, didn't Google had some agreement with Joomla less than a year ago?

      Ut oh, I hope they didn't go 'nuke'ular.

      Before I migrated from DotNetNuke to Joomla (so this could have changed), DNN was allowed to embed their Google Affiliate information into the Google search that shipped with the DNN core.

      So, in short, if you installed DNN and didn't modify the search, all your search affiliate $$ was making its way into the DNn coffers...nasty. ;)

      In my case I need Google's Search because is custom, where I selected the sites to include during the search. This include my site and about 150 more sites specific to my social community.
