Theme problems with Brinkster

I use Brinkster.com as my host. Recently my Joomla site got hacked, so I've deleted the entire thing and thought I'd start from scratch with WordPress.
However... as soon as I load a Rocket theme (along with Gantry and other plugins) then entire site crashes. I can't even get to the admin page.
Is this a problem with Brinkster? Is anyone else running RocketThemes on Brinkster?

I've never heard of "Brinkster" but one thing that has been required now for a while is php 5.3 so you can check with them and make sure that you're running a current version. php5.2 can show a broken site.
Not knowing their hosting set up, it's hard to start troubleshooting.
