    • We are in the process of moving all of our Joomla! sites to another server. I have one site that is giving a pain. It is using the Gantry framework with the Radiance Template.

      No matter if I use Akeeba Backup or if I backup the website using the standard (backup the DB move the www files) all commas (') and quotation marks (") are replaced by an "A" with a "~" over it.

      See --> screencast.com/t/sjfVBJpxdXRd
      The sentence is suppose to be --> "CANCER ... from an unexpected source?"

      I am assuming this is happening on the database backup or restore process but cannot figure out why?

      This is that only site I am having this issue on and it is the only site that is running Gantry and a Rockettheme Template. I am not saying that this is the cause, I just figured I would give it a try to see if anyone has seen this before and could point me in the right direction.

      Thank You,
      Timothy :shock:

    • Prim,

      Thanks for the reply!

      After testing multiple times it looks like RokBooster is the culprit. If I disable the RokBooster plugin everything displays correctly. enable the plugin and there are several character set issues.

      But I have found that Internet Explorer displays the website with no issues, while FireFox and Chrome both have issues with the character set used.

      I will try and reinstall the plugin to see if it will fix it.

      Thank You for your time,
      Timothy
